Welcome to the latest issue
Thank you to Ruth Cooper for sending in the beautiful photograph for the front cover. I think many of us have enjoyed sitting on Woolacombe Beach just looking out towards Lundy Island, the perfect view. In the lastest magazine we take a look back at the story of the Royal Mail and Mortehoe Post Office. A visit back in time to Hall 70 in Woolacombe, found on Beach Road it is used today as a village hall, but was once better known for its seasonal local theatre productions, and to the development of the much loved Rockham Bay Hotel.
A walk through Ilfracombe, to Hele Bay and Rapparee Cove, starting at Hillsborough which is better known locally as the sleeping elephant heading along the coastline and much more.
As always, I hope you enjoy reading the latest issue. I would love to hear from you if you would like to contribute to the magazine or have a story you would like to be included. You don’t need to be a budding writer or photographer, just have a love of Woolacombe and Mortehoe that you would like to share.
If you would like to write a feature for the magazine or send a photo for the readers gallery, we would love to hear from you.
