The marriage was solemnised St. Mary’s Church, Morte-Hoe, on Thursday, the Rev. W. F. Coppard officiating, of Mr. William George Baker, third son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Baker, of West View Bungalow, Seymour, Woolacombe, and Mary Ellen Trute, eldest daughter of Mrs. J. Trute, of 7, Lower Church-street, Barnstaple.
The bride, who was given away by Mr. F. Dymoixl, was attired in crushed strawberry crackle crepe dress, and matching coat, with velour topee, and carried a bouquet chrysanthemums to tone.
Bridesmaid (Miss Irene Carroll, friend of the bride), was attired in a dark red crepe dress, and velvet hat to match, and carried a bouquet of bronze chrysanthemums. Mr. E. Baker (brother of the bridegroom), was “best man.” Miss Sma’don was at the organ and played appropriate music, the hymn, “The voice that breathed o’er Eden,” being sung. The reception was held at The Haven, Morte- Hoe, after which the happy couple left for Bridgwater, the bride travelling in a brown dress, fur coat, and hat.
